The Sony PlayStation 4 (PS4) is a home video game console developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was released as the successor to the PlayStation 3 and belongs to the eighth generation of video game consoles.
The PS4 was designed to deliver powerful graphics, online gaming, social features, and multimedia entertainment. It supports a large library of games and uses the DualShock 4 wireless controller for gameplay.
